What’s going on at my public library this summer? There are all kinds of great programs going on at New York City’s public library systems: Brooklyn Public Library, The New York Public Library (serving the Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island) and Queens Library.

In the spirit of the holidays, today's Coffee with the Principal was a discussion on diversity and how this "makes us smarter." We expanded on the definition of diversity beyond ethnic groups such as religious, LGBTQ, economic status, and other forms. One of the main points that we established was that we are an inclusive school with our core values deeply rooted in respecting differences, and how this ultimately benefits our life-long learning. We then went into the rich, cultural institutions and experiences that NYC has to offer - and how many of them can be obtained for free.
