Arrival Procedures

3K and Pre-K

8:10 - 8:20 am​

 

Exit 9 Metal Doors

Kindergarten - 5th Grade

7:50 - 8:10 am​

47th Avenue (large school yard)

  • Arrival time for students in grades Kindergarten - 5th grade is 7:50 am - 8:10 am.
  • Kindergarten and 1st grade students will remain in the cafeteria, while 2nd to 5th grade scholars will pick up a grab-and-go breakfast and head upstairs to their classroom.
  • Late students arriving after 8:10 am must come in through the main entrance on 48th Avenue.
  • Late students follow our lateness protocol, which includes:
    • Being accompanied by their parent/guardian into the building
    • Filling out the sign-in sheet at the main entrance safety desk 
    • Filling out the sign-in sheet in the main office.

  • Dismissal time for students will start at 2:15 pm. All students must be picked up by 2:30 pm. Please arrive at the designated dismissal location by 2:15 pm.

  • Parents/guardians who are late to pick up must come in through the main entrance on 48th Avenue.

  • Please do not crowd around exits/doors as it will be more difficult for teachers to release students when guardians are not clearly visible due to overcrowding. Please stand back and wait for your child’s teacher to acknowledge and signal for your child to meet you where you are standing.

  • Younger siblings may not be dismissed with 4th/5th grade approved walkers. All scholars in grades 3K - 3rd grade must be picked up by a guardian that is 18 years of age or older.

  • Public School yellow buses and after-school program buses will be dismissed via the side entrance leading to 48th Avenue. Scholars waiting for buses to arrive will remain in the cafeteria for safe transition.

Changes in Dismissal

  • Early pick up at the main entrance will not be accommodated after 2:00 pm. Please make appropriate arrangements to pick up your child at their scheduled dismissal time and door.

    • To ensure a safe dismissal for our scholars, visitors are not permitted to enter the building between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm.​

  • If there is a change to your child’s regular dismissal, please notify the school the day before by sending a message on ClassDojo to your classroom teacher and calling the main office at (929) 267-5900 x0.

  • If you are notifying us the same day as the dismissal change, please make every effort to call the main office at (929) 267-5900 x0. 

  • If someone other than the person(s) listed on the emergency contact information is coming to pick up your child, we must receive a written note or Dojo message to Mrs. Lei with their full name as indicated on their identification card.
